I enjoyed this book sooo much, it brought such comfort to me as I lost my best friend Nov. 2nd..She was a chihuahua she would have been 17 years old in April and I got her a 4 weeks old. I miss her so much and it hurt so bad to lose her
It was just her and I for a very long time and oh she was so spoiled by the whole family , this book helped me a lot and when I get teary eyed I think of knowing I will see her again someday, I just am glad she is not suffering anymore although it tears your heart out ..Thank you so much..

My husband and I lost our precious Yellow Lab, Cornbread, in Oct. and were filled with sorrow beyond words. The thought of never hugging him again and watching him run and play was more than we could stand to think about. We were both raised to believe that when animals die, they are dead...they don't go anywhere. I searched for opinions and researched this topic and found this book...thank God! We were so relieved to know that our pets do go to Heaven and we will see them again. This isn't just theory but, is in fact, backed up by scripture. We have found a modicom of peace that increases every day because we know that our wonderful companion of almost ten years is waiting for us....that is, if we're good enough ourselves! I have purchased this book for a friend who just lost her 15 year old dog to help with her healing process. I would recommend it for anyone who is experiencing the pain of losing a beloved pet and for those who haven't yet. When I'm feeling down I just pick it up, read a page or two, and get immediate peace.

This book brought so much comfort to me after the loss of my very best friend- little girl Ni-Ni! With so many unanswered questions and so much uncertainty when we lose our four legged companions- it was in reading this book that I found and continue to find comfort in Gary Kurtz work... Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates. For anyone who has suffered this type of loss this book will bring you peace in knowing we will meet again in heaven! I highly recommend this book!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Courageous Book that Addresses Animal Loss & Religion

Gary's book was the 3rd book I had read on pet loss, having experienced the very tragic loss of my beautiful cat Tyson (sadly hit by a car on May 18th 2008). While I am not overly religous, I found this book incredibly uplifting and helpful in coming to terms with my grief and understanding my beautiful boy's spirituality here and beyond. Gary is a very personable writer and while reading the book you feel like you are sitting on his back porch speaking with him. Of all the 'religious / Christian' pet loss books Ive read, this is by far the best.

I lost one of my favorite cat's in April. This book really helped me in my time of grieving.I am so glad I found it. It did not take away the grief and sadness, but it helped a lot and made it a little easier.
