Summary

Pompeii. A.D. 79. As the gods of destruction spit fire and molten rock into the air, Marcella and her rampantly virile lover, Gaius, begin their tumultuous affair. Their escape from the volcano cements their passion for each other but there are other dangers in their path--jealousy, misunderstanding and war.

good story, decent sex

Rating: Score = 3 Score = 3 Score = 3 Score = 3 Score = 3

The Black lace-series advertises itself:"Erotic fiction by women for women". It shows here. A well-written and even decently researched story; basically an old-fashioned love story, only with a heroine who is game for any man she meets on the way while searching for her one true love. The sex is strictly of the good ol' up-and-down variety, described in a not to offensive manner, so you can easily lend the book to a friend without her starting to question your morals. You may even want to reread it after a while.
