Summaries and Customer Reviews provided by Amazon
SummarySo I agreed to play the part of Esther Rackham in a film about the heist that gave River Heights its name, and there was all this trouble on the set, and I figured out who was behind it. Case closed, right? Wrong! Once the camera starts rolling, a huge fire breaks out on the set, setting back production again. We're running out of time and funds. At least the fire turns up a key clue about who started it, but I'll have to continue juggling acting and sleuthing. Because it might be up to me to save this film from going up in flames.... |

Okay if you're reading for pleasure
I thought that this book had a weak plot. Once Nancy had discovered a mystery, she stumbled upon the answer instead of trying to figure it out. If you are just reading for pleasure, then I recommend this book. If you are looking for a book with a more complex plot that keeps you guessing, I recommend the Sammy Keyes mysteries.
Wrong!!!
I've loved Nancy Drew since second grade I'm really enjoying the All New Nancy Drew Girl Detective Series. However, this installment wasn't the greatest.
On the back cover where the plot is summarized 'Nancy' writes something like: As soon as the cameras roll, a big fire breaks out on set, setting back production again.... And she goes on to make it seem like 'Action!' is just like 'Lights, Camera...' The fact of the matter is, that's not true.
The fire in the book does not happen on set but rather at the home of a former Rackham employee. The mystery involves the Rackham Heist from way back as well as an embezzling scandal at Rachkham Industries. The movie suffers only one minor setback. The summary on the back of this book needs to be corrected!!!
Reccommended for fans.
