Summary
This Christmas isn't so merry for Toni. Her best friend's been locked up in a mental hospital ever since she told the police she was attacked by vampires, and the only way for Toni to get her out is to prove that bloodsuckers really do exist. So she's taken a job as a bodyguard for the Undead, but she gets more than she bargained for, especially when she meets Ian MacPhie, a Scottish rascal looking for Ms. Right. Although Ian's nearly five centuries old, he looks and acts like a twenty-seven-year-old hunk. How can a dead man be so damn sexy? Could Mr. Wrong be Mr. Right? One forbidden kiss could lead to an eternity of passion—and all it takes is one moment under the mistletoe . . . |

All I Want For Christmas Is a Vampire
I just got turned on to this series. This one was a lot of fun to read. The main character's insecurity was a nice touch. Even after 500 years a person could still be unsure of himself. Ironic. I really enjoyed it.
loved it
i loved this book...i was worried about ian after book 4 and was happy to see him the focus of this one....it was very well written, funny and just great.
Love at stake hooked
I loved this one in the series because i have loved ian since he was a kid! LOL This story is amazing because he finally gets the girl and he turns into an amazing man!! He looks rugged but, underneath he is sweet and in love. I recommend this series to everyone who is ready to fall in love with the blooming relationship of Ian and Tony and have a bunch of laughs along the way.

Ian MacPhie is tired of looking like the fifteen year old boy he was when he turned vamp. Now thanks to special concoction, he's aged twelve years in twelve days. Now that he finally looks how he wants, Ian wants the one thing he's never found--true love. And he's convinced the only one who'd understand him and his past is a fellow vamp--an idea that might get thrown out the window when he meets the beautiful Toni, there's a definite attraction to the mortal he just doesn't understand. Ian's determined to find love with a fellow vamp, but there's something about Toni that draws him to her, despite her mortalness.
Toni is on a mission. With her best friend locked up in the hospital, she's determined to prove Sabrina's claims that vamps are real so she can be released, and what better way than to play bodyguard to the nice guys? That is until she meets Ian, the Scottish, kilt wearing vampire who has a way of distracting her from the task at hand. Despite her growing attraction for the vamp, she's determined to stick to her goals. Besides, once her goal's accomplished, she's quitting her job as dayguard of the Vamps and when that happens, Roman's going to wipe her memory, erasing every moment she spent with the kilt wearing Vamp.
I've loved this series from the first book and ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A VAMPIRE doesn't disappoint. I loved how Ian and Toni met and the chemistry between the two was almost immediate. I loved how Toni was jealous when Ian was set up for the impromptu speed-dating session at the Horny Devils bar. It was great seeing guest appearances of characters from past books, including Shanna. If you're a fan of fun paranormal romance, ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A VAMPIRE is the perfect read for you.
Kerrelyn Sparks' first paranormal romance, How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire, zoomed out of the bat cave so fast it became Borders bestselling debut romance of 2005.

All I Want for Christmas is another book this good!
The fifth volume in the "Love At Stake" series finds a newly aged Ian McPhie looking for for a vampire of his own to love. He has put a personal ad online and the vampire women are flocking to him. But even though Ian has always wanted to hook up with a vampire woman, he finds himself strongly attracted to mortal and new security guard Toni. Toni has secrets. Her best friend was recently attacked by vampires and is in a mental hospital. When Toni went in search of the bad vampires, she gets attacked as well. Saved by one of the good vamps, Toni finds herself being won over by this group of vampires who only drink synthetic blood.
Can she save her friend from the hospital and still persue a relationship with Ian?
This is probably the best in the "Love at Stake" series, after the first one. "How to Marry A Millionaire Vampire" is still the best vampire romance I have read to date. The volumes between the first and the fourth made me leery of the series because they seemed to follow the romantic formula too much. But I find that Sparks is adding new characters, adding new paranormals, and making a twisted enemy in the Malcontents or 'bad vampires'. I love urban fantasy and dark paranormal stories. I find no reason why a romance can't add some of the qualities you find in the 'darker' genres to mix it up a little, and still stay a romance story. The bits of humor here still work nicely. The biggest fault that Ms. Spark's stories have is that her character's have these great, different personalities but once she make them the "lead" character, they tend to seem just like all the other previous "Lead" characters. They lose some of what made them unique in the previous books. If she could overcome this one complaint, I think this would make it an even better series.
