Summary:
In this witty, sensual, poignant tale, New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Brockmann explores destiny, deception, and that steamy tipping point between deep friendship and romantic love.

Photograher Clint McCade was a rugged free spirit with the perfect life, until he realized something vital was missing—Sandy Kirk. Since grade school, Sandy had been Clint’s best friend and closest confidante. She was smart, beautiful, shy—and clueless about her power over men. But when Clint finally seeks her out to declare his love, he finds she’s fallen for another man.

Sandy knew she was a lot of things to Clint—except what she’d always longed to be: the woman he loved. So it comes as no surprise when he encourages her pursuit of another, even offering to coach her in the art of seduction. But soon the friends find themselves engaged in a series of crossed signals, mixed messages, and unbearably titillating close encounters that prove only one thing is certain: body language doesn’t lie.

Mere Romance
Customer Rating:  Score = 3 Score = 3 Score = 3 Score = 3 Score = 3
Suzanne Brockman disappoints in this one. It's a plain old romance, with no adventure. Some earlier books featuring Seal Team 16 and the Troubleshooters were romantic adventures, and a much better read.

very simple, cardboard characters, nor worth the money

couldnt' finish it. Not worth your money, she is a very good author but this must be a very early attempt, looks like a harlequin type of book. If you want her best look out for her troubleshooter's stories which have much more backbone, plot and sensuality.

Fabulous!

Body Language is fun, charming, sensual and sincerely an incredible read! Honestly, for this reader it's my first Suzanne Brockman book and definitely will not be my last!

You'll adore Clint McCade, his bad boy looks and charm and will definitely melt when he realizes that his best friend Sandy Kirk since childhood he loves and wants to marry.

As for Sandy Kirk, she's talented, fun, adorable and secretly adores Clint. Their journey in finding love, well you won't want to miss it!

Best friends with benefits

Roving LA-based cameraman Clint McCade finally comes to the realization that he's in love with his best friend Sandy Kirk, and travels through the night to Phoenix to profess his love, only to discover that there's a new man in her life. Dejected, he decides the help her land her man to at least see that his best friend is happy. But soon finds that teaching her the fine art of seduction through body language might be too much of a temptation. Sandy is in love with Clint also, but both fear revealing their feelings and taking their relationship to another level. When he proposes to help her make the new guy more interested, she wishes that he weren't just playing a part... but is he?

Originally penned in 1998, Brockmann's latest re-release appears to have been dated even then due to the pretty unrealistic and cheesy dialogue. For two supposed best friends, there was a huge lack of communication between them, and that got annoying after awhile. However, I really liked the plot and storyline, particularly the history between Clint and Sandy. I just wish that when authors re-release their material and command full retail price, that they at least try to improve on their early offerings (Lisa Jackson does a great job of this).

Another hit

What a great author! While her Troubleshooter series can't be beat, Body Language is a great story too. Definitely worth the read.
