CPT 2008 Professional Edition (Cpt / Current Procedural Terminology (Professional Edition)) This book is the required text for a CPT coding class I am taking. CPT seems to be more straightforward than ICD-9, so the index seems easier to use than, say, the indexes in the ICD-9-CM 2008 Professional for Hospitals (Icd-9-Cm Professional for Hospitals) text. The various sections of the CPT book are color-coded with thumb-notch tabs cut into the edges of the pages. Even if you do not have a coding handbook, the instructions in the front of the CPT book are fairly easy to understand and use. The only problem I have is that I've creased pages more often with the CPT book than I did with the ICD-9 book. I just ASSumed it was the spiral binding and/or weight of the papes, but more than likely, it could be operator error.

Taking a medical billing course and need to prepare for my my CPT Exam, this book is truly awesome, arrived as scheduled and a great price. I pre-ordered this book, highly recommend it. Only a few of us in class were able to order this book at this price.
