He has a flair to make the dullest things not so dull and some very original but simple recipes. I like that this did stay true to the title of the book. The pictures are full of color and some of him and his kids that bring a softer touch to this cookbook and him. If you want something a little different but still in the "norm" I highly recommend this cookbook.
