I am a first time Grandmother and this is the perfect book to have. I am so very anxious to read this story over and over again to my Grandaughter.

I have thus far read this to three granddaughters who all have it memorized. It is one of their favorite books. We wore one out in the five years since they have been born. I recently ordered another one to send to Montana with my four year old granddaughter when her family moved there. I plan to read my old copy to her while she reads along with her copy on the phone!!! They enjoyed this from the perspective of us waiting for them to be born, and they also enjoyed it when waiting for siblings. This book is geared to the maternal grandparents of a son's son, but it made no difference to the girls. They put themselves into the story. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS book for gifts for prospective grandparents from both sides of the family to read to their grandchildren. It's very special. Rose Hall

Perfect gift for new grandmother

This book is perfect for a new grandmother. I have experienced the emotions of becoming a first time grandmother (many years ago) but I still remember my hopes and dreams for the child I was yet to meet. This little book identifies those emotions for the grandmother who is experiencing them and doesn't understand her emotions. Then the perfect time comes when one can read the book to that precious grandchild (and I always cry) and share that precious time with the chld. It's my favorite gift for a friend or acquaintance who is about to become or has become a new grandmother.

Still waiting for grandchildren, I saw this and had to purchase it for several gifts. It's such a sweet read.......to yourself or to your favorite grandchild. I did tuck one away for the 'future'......just too good to miss.......you should,too!

My wife bought each of our 6 Grandchildren a copy when they were born. She give copies to "New Grandmothers" as a gift. It is well written and the the pictures are beautiful. Don't miss this great book.
