Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 for Windows and Mobile Applications: Introductory is the first text of its kind to teach students the essentials of computer programming using the latest Visual Basic programming language, Visual Basic 2005. Six chapters introduce topics such as designing a Visual Basic user interface, creating a windows application, variables and arithmetic operations, and mobile applications using decision structures. Written in a straight-forward style, this text makes it easy for any novice programmer to understand the core capabilities and fundamental techniques for Visual Basic 2005. Definitely Introductory | Customer Rating: | | The book is definitely introductory. It's basically teaching you how to program in VB. I was expecting something a "little more advanced" since it is Mobile applications. This book is like programming 101. The book contains instructions on how to do If/Then statements, Loops, etc. It's extremely basic. If you are a mobility programmer such as myself, there are not a lot of books out there to give you reference information on Mobile applications. This one is not worth your time unless you are just beginning to learn how to program in VB .Net. |
