A wanted man, he's the prime suspect for the serial killings he's trying to stop. But he still manages to edge closer to discovering more about Johan's mysterious past, and everything seems to point to a now defunct institution of East Berlin--an infamous "experimental" orphanage called 511 Kinderheim! A Turning Point for the Series... | Customer Rating: | | This is a highly suspenseful volume that inverts the series' usual story structure. The noble Dr. Tenma appears very little here. Johan, for the first time, is given a big role in the story. The story centers on two very different characters receiving the attentions of Johan's two very different personalities. Johan is actually a very compelling presence. He's every bit the monster we imagine him to be, but he certainly doesn't seem to pick very nice people as victims. This is a terrific change of pace for the series and a fascinating look into the world of it's most mysterious character. |
