I was so pleased to finally find a hardback copy of this book. I had been searching for an original copy but the price was out of my range. So very happy that it was reprinted and available.

End of Trilogy

I finished the third in the Series "Stars". It started out great with Hidden Star and in my opinion the best of the Trilogy. It goes down hill from there. I liked Bailey and Cade and could feel connection between them. Reading about M.J. and Grace in the first book I was anxious to read their story. We get to Captive Star and it's okay but got tired of the sparring clear through the whole book. Both characters really had a mouth on them. And Romance? They fall in love the first day? Yet they neither one trust each other. Then we move on to Secret Star. I could not find much to like about Grace except she did some good deeds. She has used her beauty to manipulate men (when she is being quesitoned by Seth, she comes onto his men and tries to make him look like fool-I was turned off her character right then) and she has such a smart mouth on her. IT just didn't go with the way she is described in the previous books. IT would be understandable that Seth would think she would tire of life with him-they come from 2 different worlds. So she blows him off because she is not used to having men even slightly reject her. As in all Nore Roberts books they end up together but it's spoiled so for me by that time I didn't really care. Then the whole thing of them having lived before was just a bizarre twist that ruined the ending. I could have stopped with the first two books (even though we wouldn't have had the bad guy). The third book ruined the whole series for me. Others disagree but I have a hard time warming up to a character like Grace. Seth left something to be desired in the romance department also. The series has recently been reissued so is being read again even though they are older books.

Lovely Nora roberts always a delight to read her books - beautiful scenery, characters, intrigue, and they always end happily

I enjoyed it very much and couldn't put it down.It wasn't a thriller and I do rather like Noras mystery\thrillers but the "homely" ones are good too.This had some good characters and the setting was interesting. I love to read a triology in one go i.e. one after the other.So it was good having the three in one.
