Summary:
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker take a junked speeder on a deadly race through a canyon teeming with bounty hunters, a duty bound clone trooper finds himself the sole defense against an army of droids, a free-spirited young Jedi is tasked with a dangerous mission of greater significance than she realizes, and a peaceful group of farmers find themselves on the frontlines in the fight against the Separatists - all in this action-packed collection of stories told in the super-popular stripped down stylization of the Cartoon Network micro-series!

My son is crazy for these books.

My 9 year old son has read every book in this series over and over again. They are great quality and nicely illustrated. By far his favorite comics.

Four great stories in one digest-sized book!
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5
Made to look like the Cartoon Network Clone Wars show, this book is filled with action, Jedi, and of course, a clone or two! A digest-sized book, this holds four stories that are each fun in their own way! Not to mention, it is the first Clone Wars Adventures book to feature the Darth Sidious hologram. I thought that was pretty cool! I would recommend this to anybody who likes Star Wars and/or the Clone Wars animated show!

Final entry in the Clone Wars Adventures series?
Customer Rating:  Score = 4 Score = 4 Score = 4 Score = 4 Score = 4
Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures is an ongoing series from Dark Horse comics that takes its inspiration from the extremely successful Clone Wars cartoon. This inspiration is visible in both the short, action-packed nature of the stories as well as in the art style itself. As I've mentioned in a couple of my prior Clone Wars Adventures reviews, it's likely that with the debut of the upcoming Clone Wars 3D TV series scheduled for fall 2008, Lucasfilm is asking licensees to suspend products based on the earlier show to avoid marketplace confusion. Whether this comic series will be impacted by this edict (assuming it's true!) remains to be confirmed. If this rumor is true, than this is the final volume.

The art in Volume Ten is clean and consistent - Dark Horse has gotten this down to a science by now. The stories feature a mixture of writers and artists.

Volume Ten contains four stories as follows:

"Graduation Day" - The Separatists send an invasion force to Dantooine, apparently to wipe out the settlement of former Jedi candidates that have been sent there as part of the Agricultural Corps. Under duress, the kids prove their mettle - maybe the Jedi should have made them into Padawans after all! The boy in the opening frames has a resemblance to the kid who gives Mace Windu a drink of water after the insanely over-the-top battle portrayed in the original cartoon series - that's a fun nod if it's supposed to be him. I laughed at the kid wearing a beanie with a propeller; it's bad enough to picture someone actually wearing one on Earth without sticking it in Star Wars! :-)

"Thunder Road" - Anakin and Obi-Wan must make a desperate run through the subtly-named Death Canyon on an antique VXL Speeder, dodging heavy Separatist fire the whole way. Once again Anakin is the reckless thrill-seeker pushing the edge of the envelope while Obi-Wan bemoans his fate. Always nice to get a story depicting the two of them as fast friends and Knights rather than uneasy Master and Padawan.

"Chain of Command - Jedi Knight Anise I'zak is sent on a dangerous mission across enemy lines to carry vital information to the clone forces. However, all is not as it seems, and we see a double twist at the end that serves to underscore the futility of the Clone Wars and the masterful job Palpatine is doing as chief puppeteer of the Republic.

"Waiting" - A clone trooper tasked with destroying a bridge at a critical moment has trouble completing his mission thanks to some mischievous local critters. There's some good humor in this one and it illustrates the lengths to which the clone troopers will go to loyally accomplish their directives.

Clone Wars Adventures Volume Ten is another fun entry in what has become a fairly lengthy series of books. As always, it is a very speedy read and younger readers will likely have a blast with it. If there is never a Volume 11, perhaps a new series supporting the new Clone Wars will pop up, or possibly even better, a series done in the same style but set in the time of the Original Trilogy.
