Another flawless cookbook from ATK | Customer Rating: | America's Test Kitchen/Cook's Illustrated has done it again! Yet another perfect cookbook, with no-goof recipes that yield the best possible result.
The clincher for me will always be the tried-and-true approach to the recipes showcased in these collections. Thank you, ATK, for making 100 different cakes so I can make just 1 perfect one!
Another huge plus was the recommendation of Barilla no-boil lasagna noodles. Because of the homemade manicotti recipe found in this volume, I have a new favorite lasagna noodles. And yes, they really do rival fresh noodles in taste and consistency.
These cookbooks are constantly the first ones I reach for. Always a pleasure. | Excellent book | Customer Rating: | | What you have come to expect from ATK... Straight forward and filled with unpretentious info on food and products... I love it. | The greatest well-tested recipes | Customer Rating: | | I have the 2007 edition and the 2008 is just as good. The recipes, product reviews and tips are great as always. Highly recommended for beginner (good shower gift)and experienced cooks alike. | Best Technology Cook Book | Customer Rating: | | I love this book, finally combined are the 2 things I love about food; the technology of what works and what doesn't work & seeing how it turns out. I love cooking, I dislike following recipes - I see them as more of a roadmap with me doing the driving. Food should be created using S.O.S. seasonal, organic and substainable (all when possible). I really like the way this book was presented. | Beware of ATK shady book club enrollment practices | Customer Rating: | | My experience with ATK purchases is that all customers are automatically enrolled in an ATK book club and are given no opportunity to opt out this book mailing progam during the ordering process. After I placed an ATK order, I started receiving unordered and unwanted ATK books in the mail and billed for same. Involuntarily enrolling customers in their ATK book club seems like a rather shady practice for a supposedly reputable testing lab. |
