A Handbook to Carry
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5
This is a handbook to carry everywhere, refer to often. But it is most beneficial if its words are taken to heart and mind and put into practice. If done so with depth, freshness and sincerity, transformation seems inevitable.

Stolen from a true teacher

This work was stolen from "Billy" Eduard Albert Meier. Billy wrote this first draft in 1948.(Spiritual Training through Attentivness). It was read and copied and sent out to other monks. Because knowone had never heard of Billy, they copied the work as thier own. Two more drafts were writen by Billy Meier and they too were copied. Required Reading
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5
This book should be required reading for anyone serious about meditation, particularly Buddhist meditation. All Buddhist meditation practice has Theravadin teachings as its foundation and this book does a very nice job of explaining these teachings and practices using ample citations from various Buddhist scriptures.

THE MUST HAVE BOOK FOR MEDITATOR !
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5
This book contains the essential teaching of The Buddha specially about mindfulness, the explanation is not complicated, easy to undestand and strike to the point.I read a lot about meditation and most of them had this book as a reference I wonder why, but after I've done with this one I know why and I'm sure that the author (Ven. Nyanaponika Thera) is a High Level Thera so that if someone buy this book, someone will NEVER REGRET !

Important for personal conduct
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5
It is rare to find a book which presents the essence of the Buddha's teaching in a clear and concise outline. Although the book was published for the first time in 1962 the first paragraph of the first chapter shows the reader that one is confronted with an eternal truth.
Unless we recognize that the causes of war, and especially the one we are currently engaged in, reside in the human mind and are based on greed, hatred and delusion to which one might add fear, we will simply continue in the same rut and will pile ever growing disasters upon ourselves.
The author explains not only what is meant by right mindfulness but also demonstrates its uses for every day life. This is not a religious treatise but a practical guide to overcome the mentioned four factors which create havoc with our lives and prevent mental growth.
This is not a book to be read once and put back on the shelf. It should become a constant companion and each sentence deserves to be pondered because with growing life experiences new meanings will emerge.
The book can be strongly recommended to anyone, regardless of religious or political affiliation, who is interested in understanding the vagaries of one's own mind and what to do about them.
