Have to agree it's getting dated | Customer Rating: | | I took a very close look at this book while undergoing testing to determine if my high PSA reading at my last physical was due to cancer or not. While I find the author's other book "Dr. Patrick Walsh's Guide to Surviving Prostate Cancer" which is in it's second edition among the best books out there I noted that some of the material in this book is getting dated and for somone to use this book as their primary source of information on the subject of prostate disorders would be denying themselves of a lot of information vital to making a wise decision. If a new revised edition of this book were to be relased I have no doubt that it could be a very good reference. If you are looking for up to date information to help guide you through some possibly difficult decisions save your money and look at other titles. | Prostrate | Customer Rating: | | This book is generaly well written and easy to read. It was published in 1997 some of the information on BPH is becoming dated. | prostate cancer | Customer Rating: | | we love Dr. Walsh's book he is a Great Doctor the book carrys you through the whole process.my husband had prostate cancer and Dr. Walsh did his surgery after we read his book.I would recommend this book for all men and their wives. | A helpful book, Prostate a guide for men, Fred Felkins husband of Joan Felkins | Customer Rating: | | This book was refered to me when I was told that I told that I had Prostate cancer by a doctor. The doctor informed me that most men do not understand what the prostate does and how it operates. I read the book and achieved a better understanding of what I was facing. My wife did not read the entire book but did read certain parts and used this to support me in this time. I would recommend that every man over 50 beg, borrow or buy this book, read it, study it and visit with their doctor and get a yearly check up. I am a five year survial of Prostate cancer and every 6 months when the doctor tells me that it is still in remission I rejoice. | A guide for men and the women who love them | Customer Rating: | | This book provided the practical every day treatment information that I needed regarding my recently diagnosed prostrate cancer. |
